50 Years Old

One of our "daughters" is 50 years old! St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Springfield celebrated its 50th Anniversary this year. Our Augustana Church with Pr. Clarence Nelson developed and organized that congregation (and one of our former interns serves as a pastor on that staff.). Floyd and Louise Anderson were a part of that mission development which entailed many in the congregation knocking on doors throughout the Springfield area to gather the people who had no church home. The Andersons were guests at several of St. Mark's celebratory events this year, representing Augustana. One of the many gifts given to St. Mark's "way back when" was a full set of communion ware.
